Magnetic Flush Tube
About: I like to clean barrels on my muzzleloaders by flushing or pumping water through them. This usually requires removing the barrel from the stock, which I do not like to do repetitively with a barrel pinned in place. There is a version of a flush tool that clamps over the barrel and allows water to be pumped in and out of the bore to clean out powder residue. However the clamp arrangement has never fit well on most of my rifles.
Specifications: Machined brass fittings, powerful neodymium magnet with gasket, 24 inch water tube.
Price: $38
Details: This barrel flush tube uses a very strong magnet installed in a special brass fitting to allow water to be easily pumped in and out of a rifle bore for cleaning. The magnet face has a gasket and will attach itself tightly enough to the barrel over the touchhole without leaking. Just attach the magnet end over the touchhole, drop the other end in a container of water, and pump water in and out of the bore with the cleaning rod equipped with a tight fitting patch and jag. This magnetic flush fixture is a very quick way to clean the bore thoroughly and not have to disassemble the rifle or pistol beyond removing the lock.
